Edge of Faith Magazine – a bimonthly publication

mission statement

We encourage the idea of Shalom, the true peace of God. Our goal is to discuss the concerns and hurdles of modern society across all points of the globe, including next door. We share the successes of moving God’s word and sharing the missions that help others see a glimpse of the true life-architecture that our Creator has in mind for us.
We give voice to established and upcoming leaders in visual art, music, philosophy and theology.

the points of our magazine

• the bridge between visual art and church
We love to celebrate the gift of creativity from the Creator and the thoughtfulness it brings to the Christian mind. The beautiful, the thought provoking, and the engaging are all part of the wonder of God and His world. From Realism to Contemporary, Edge of Faith embraces visual art and brings it in to share space in the body of the church.

• music and movies
From the playful to the majestic, EOF listens to musicians and what they have to bring to the table for the Christian to consume. As the Psalmist states:
“Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody!” Psalm 98.:5

Everyone loves movies and we at EOF enjoy the imagery they bring. We engage the authors, the producers, and actors as they ruminate about movies, TV and live theater.

• Christian worldview
How do all the arts play a part in our lives as God’s creation? How do we play a part in His creation as we are creative in our jobs, our art, our hobbies and our lives? How can we enjoy beauty and yet know there is pain and ugliness? What is our purpose? EOF examines these questions and many more as we discuss Christian worldview and publish articles dealing in Christian Philosophy.

• missions and global issues
Now that our heads are full of artful fancy, meaningful theology, and well thought-out direction with an educated worldview, we want to expand that knowledge to the practical concerning issues of our times. EOF explores the world of missions and the global, as well as local, issues that surround us.
Our mandate:
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25.40
